How do you guys manage to read so many books per year? PewDiePie read 72 books this year which approximates to around 1.4 each week. WTF
Any tips?

I pick up a book, I read it until read, and then I pick up another one.

I actually read instead of spending the whole day on this site talking about what I want to read.

You know when you’re reading and you get that feeling you want to stop and do something else? Don’t get that feeling you want to stop.

Most books can usually be finished in about 4-6 hours (books like War and Peace, more like 15-20).

Even if you don't have the attention span to read them all at once, it still only takes a few half hour sessions over the week to read at PewDiePie's rate. 30 minutes in the morning and 30 at night gets you there, even if you take the weekend off.

It just means putting aside that time to read instead of spending an extra hour a day on the internet, watching TV or playing video games.

If there're any books you want to read available on audio, that makes it even easier to squeeze in more.

This. It’s literally just reading instead of engaging in other forms of leisure. Like instead of browsing the internet read. Instead of watching TV read. If you read 30 minutes to an hour each day. You should have no trouble finishing a book in a week.

you are either a brainlet or you pick the wrong books.

Depending on the type of book and its complexity, I usually read at a rate of 1 page (one side) about every 2.5 minutes. If I read for 1 hour with minimal distractions but spending enough time contemplating/reflecting on the material, I usually get through about 80 - 120 pages. If I do this every day of the week, I get through at least 1 book, but more often 2. That's between 52 and 104 books, which usually ends up at about 80 books.

80 books a year (2018 I read 71), 1 hour a day. If you can't read for 1 hour a day, fix yourself.

I'm an internet addict fuckup and I read 60 books/year without really trying. You just need to shuffle your habits around a little. Make reading in bed a habit like you did when you were a kid. Read on your phone or on a kindle so your brain thinks it's getting its screen fix. Don't open up your computer first thing in the morning; open up a book and read instead, even if it's just a few pages while you eat cereal.
