In all seriousness, what happened to women writing objectively good literature, e.g the Brontes, Austen, et al? Why are they all now just spewing out YA trash trilogies with the exception of a select few?

Definitely not. The Passenger will not be released in March 2019. It will likely be published as a set of incomplete fragments following his death, unfortunately.

Probably for the best. Writing is mostly for young people. You'd only have to compare Goethe's work at the beginning of his life versus the end to write of all old people as great novelists. I'm sure there are exceptions.

I seriously thought he died. I now feel suddenly horrible about all those jokes about his prose. He's a great writer; almost as good as Alastair Macleod, just without the precision. His subjects and tones are far superior though.

Not at all. God fashions us how he will. It’s not believing in ‘gods’, it’s believing in ‘God’, The one, the monad. You have to understand there is a reason that ancient texts exist and some, even most, of what we know as academia could be incorrect.

You have to entertain the possibility that God is real and that what is written in The Holy Bible are real events, and not metaphorical

YA is more profitable. Also, the kinds of women who get published tend to be the kinds of women who have never seen hardship and only get published due to nepotism and wealth. I have no doubt there are talented women out there who are capable of writing good lit, but they're not getting attention due to them not promoting the capitalist "Me,Me,Me" agenda.

One thing I've noticed about female literature is how it tends to be very emotional, very sympathetic towards other human beings and it has a real focus on the sensual and character psychology. I love it, honestly--Better than the obsession with pessimistic detachment that has dominated masculine literature for at least a few decades.

I also find it interesting how women actually analyse books. They seem to care more about the texture of the language and the intensity of emotion in individual scenes and really try to pick the individual elements that comprise the book. Guys meanwhile, tend to talk about books in a more general thematic and moral sense based on my experience. I feel I tend to gravitate towards the more feminine form of analysis myself.
