<---this motherfucker.

He can make me laugh out loud just with the way he uses language. A lot of the events in his books aren't even funny by themselves, what's funny is how he relates them to you. Are there any newer/young authors like this I should check out?

I read the first few chapters, got bored and switched to fantasy. U mad?

Not really all that new, but Vonnegut is pretty funny. And Catch-22 is my favorite book ever.

Gore Vidale's "Creation" is funny and you might learn something. Christopher Moore's "Lamb" is hilarious. Anything by David Sedaris

I'm seconding David Sedaris and Kurt Vonnegut. Vonnegut has a way of making you incredibly depressed while still being funny. Breakfast of Champions is both hilarious and depressing.

I must be odd, but I almost never got a laugh out of Vonnegut. Damn good books (I've read all of them), but the humor or smiles were few and far in between. I guess that's why I have trouble trusting people when they talk about, "Laugh out loud antics," and whatnot.

Nigga you read books. Shut the fuck up.

Best book of all time.

I love that scene where Yossarian is piloting the plane and it's getting hit by flak, and there's just fucking Aarfy in the corner laughing his head off, so Yossarian beats the shit out of Aarfy. Had me in tears.

Vonnegut is the best recommendation if you like Heller yeah, they were writing buddies I believe.

I recommend Richard Brautigan, Spike Milligan and also Woody Allen's short prose.
