You want esotericism. Go look up reading charts but don't subscribe to this pseud, alright?

Honestly, just read The Hero With A Thousand Faces.

I bought and read Maps of Meaning and it is just a combination of Joseph Campbell and Freud (and Joseph Campbell was already influenced by Freud)

Its worth reading but only if you buy his recently published high school English essays. You can get then for a simple $ 500.00 patreon donation.

He talks about how he had dreams of his grandmother rubbing a brush of her pube hair in his face. If that interests you.

It's a long ass read and not particularly well-composed. I think you will get a better use of your time reading Joseph Campbell and Mircea Eliade yourself, but JP provides a nice synthesis of psychoanalysis, Jung, Campbell, Eliade, and some other myth writers. Nothing particularly novel in this though.

I think they hate him because he doesn't understand history nor philosohy but maybe that's just me.

This. The guy is out of his depth in anything but psychology. And given the number of citations his work has from other psychologists, he isn’t very deep in his chosen field either.

Dont bother anon. I made an extensive argument regarding the relative insignificance of JPs citations and i might as well have chewed my own toes for an hour.

The guru's followers are stupid enough to pick him as a guru. You think theyre smart enough to be swayed by overwhelming evidence of his mediocrity? It wont happen.
