Can you please recommend some books for people with crippling depression?

No book, but I think depression, everything is meaningless, no motivation, is the absence of love
Remember what and who you love

Personally it helped me out quite a while and offered me what you can call a meaning in life

Just read De Sade bro. Get some of that repressed rage and anger out of your pent up nutsack by beating on it incessantly.

I'm not angry and I'm dating someone. I'm not some incel full of pent up rage. I just have a lot of existential dread, past trauma, and uncertainty about the future. I have to go to work in an hour but I have not been able to get out of bed for the past hour since I awoke. I feel numb everyday.

Oh boy lol
Depression is almost always just a sign of unresolved and pent up anger.

In any case, serious recommendations:
Both Albert Caraco and Stig Dagerman are very good for that kind of feel.
