I like a lot of american media, hell, I dropped three books I was reading recently because I'm just so much more interested in reading shitty golden age capes which are probably the absolute bottom of the barrell in terms of 20th century american culture, but the pervasiveness of it alienates people from a lot of good things from their own culture, and while in some cases, the "american replacement" is good, it more often than not is complete crap and it becomes very bothersome because americans don't seem to realize this and are usually extremely hostile towards anything foreign (specially brazilian, which sucks because we have tons of good authors, musicians and artists that deserve a lot more recognition, here and elsewhere).

Mooc is basically online classes where you can pay one professor to teach hundreds of students. Some are self paced, some are like real classes. Great recession lead to tuition hikes and downturns (and that's while they were still siphoning large millennial student body). Next downturn will lead to real cuts. Most states will have to make cuts, and in America that means education. Unless there is a major reversal of trends in our economy, higher education can plan to get automated during our life time.
