Best thing to do is to enroll in a fiction writing class. It should be that expensive at least at your local college. That's more important than anything you can read alone, such a pedagogy and peer review. Feedback is essential.

Otherwise, there are tons of sources. Pic related was most helpful to me personally. Then there's The Way of the Writer by Charles Johnson. And maybe any textbook you can find on Amazon.

Read these and read a fuckton of short stories. Not just the memes spouted on /lit/, but read anthologies. The Best American series you can never go wrong with. The late 60s to early 90s American and Canadian fiction is peak.
