What's the meaning of a Full Moon in the literature? What kind of things are symbolized or represented with a Full Moon?

>> No.12231185

The impossible woman, the she-wolf. The ever loving grace of the perfect woman.

>> No.12231186

The mother, nature, menstruation
(Moon, month and menses are cognates)

>> No.12231194

Example from Hart Crane:

Her undinal vast belly moonward bends,
Laughing the wrapt inflections of our love

Thank you for answer to this thread, but I'm gonna give you this example so you will help me to interpret it, ok? There are three stories with the moon as a strong element (it can define the spirit of the story itself), the first story has a half-moon in this story the main theme is "indecision". Then what's the meaning of the other two stories? One with the Full Moon and another one with a New Moon.

Im guessing youve been forced to read something bad and have been forced to answere questions about it, Im sorry.

If a half moon is indecission (50/50) then the empty moon is all in one way and the full moon is all in the other way. Im guessing.

New Moon usually refers to something about new beginnings. The full moon may be about following the current path to its full extent

Yeah kinda like that... Still I'm curious about a proper answer.

Hey that's very interesting... Alright then if the first story is a half-moon what's the second story and third story? What's the most adequate to order the other two moons to make a "complete story" with the three stories?

the reason the half moon is "indecisive" is because the half moon is half white and half black. It is two things in one, it can't decide whether to be more black, or more white. Ambivalent.

the full moon would be pure white, then it just becomes an issue of determining what "white" signifies.
it could mean illumination, mystic knowledge (as opposed to confusion), spirit (as opposed to body?), or even just something as basic as + (positive).
which then makes the new moon (i.e. a black moon) the opposite of whatever "white" is. the negative (-) to the white's positive (+).
typically the moon represents the feminine, female, emotional, change. The sun doesn't change shape like the moon, and therefore represents stability (masculine), whereas the moon does change.
