Post books that you leave on tables around your houses, hoping that guests see and are impressed.

I have at least 6 copies of this around my house at all times. Every now and then I’ll find one tucked under the coffee table or under the couch that I forgot about

Dada and surrealist art is possibly the most braindead, pseud thing I can imagine and I would instantly despise you

Elaborate please? Do you have something to say about the art movement? Sure Dada is not for everyone but Surrealism had a good take on the concept of Subconciousness. So why is surrealism braindead while cubism purposefully tried to be senseless?

Why though? What makes you think one can't genuinely enjoy Tzara, Picabia, Arp or Dali's works?

>Dad comes into my room and mocks me for having so many books that I haven't read
>Says that I have them to impress women
>tfw a woman's never been in my room
>tfw I haven't read most of them because I'm afraid I won't understand their content

Just dive in anon - it's not like you have to get some ultimate meaning out of every book you read. Hell, when I was reading through In Search of Lost Time (which I never finished btw), I found the language so beautiful that the actual content didn't matter to me as much.

Not like the ability to comprehend a book should actually have anything to do with your self worth. Ultimately the goal of understanding this or that is arbitrary, and you'll get what you get and you won't get what you can't. So it goes

I read this as more of a cry for help than appraisal.
