No rape going on in prison. We have quite a few former inmates over in /ck/ because cooking is pretty much the only job a convicted felon can get after his release. As long as you keep to yourself and dont start any shit you will be pretty much left alone.

>They also feed you 3 hot meals a day

In US prisons meals are garbage and really shitty as far as nutrition goes. It's all about counting calories rather than if it's nutritious and healthy, and the main objective after meeting the minimum calories per day requirement is paying as little as possible per inmate meal. IIRC, some places pride themselves for only costing couple of dollars per meal and it's entirely because they cut the costs so low people are given food that can be moldy, inedible, etc. It's the main reason why inmates spend most of their money on food and Ramen noodles has become the number one item in prison barter economy, replacing cigarettes.

Prison's not very fun.

Imagine being subject to the whims of 90IQ prison guards at all times, confined to an arbitrary schedule of meaningless bullshit tasks. You don't realise how much your freedom matters until it's taken away.

Prisons (in the US) don't let inmates read whatever they like. they censor a whole lot of books, especially anything political. And they sometimes require you to work 10-12 hours a day. And there's a lights out at night.

I actually might do this desu senpai. Im currently in Washington state (weed is legal), but i have three charges for weed possesion and one for opiates (which I quit a long time ago), as well as two bench warrants for fleeing the state before trial. The whole situation Im in is a crazy ass story, that wouldnt even sound believable, byt basically I started dating this crazy fucking chick who became obssesed with me and asked me to marry her after knowing her for a few weeks. Of course I didnt want to (I dont really like her at all desu senpai), so she got off birth control without telling me and now shes 8 weeks pregnant and seems to think that this somehow causally necessitates a future marriage and picturesque fairy tale life where we all live happily every after. Funny thing is, this isnt even the craziest thing shes done.

That being said, overall I really enjoy my oife and Im mostly glad with how thing are, although I dont think this particular situation will end well. I mostly just want to finish college, get into an MA program and study in my spare time.

Im not being a criminal - as I said, weed is legal where I live at the moment. I think your reading comprehension could use some work, because the whole point of my post is that I might use the fact that I have charges for weed in a state with harsh deug laws to my advantage as a way to get out of the situation Im in with this crazy bitch. At the very least avoid her for a year or two.

Also victimkess crimes (e.g. drug crimes) shouldnt be illegal.

I've been to jail and I can vouch for the fact that you'd likely read a lot.

That said, I found myself wishing I was in solitary confinement. You do have to deal with other people, and they probably won't be the type of people you'd choose to deal with.
It can also be stressful. I had confrontations with multiple people and I mildly afraid that I'd get jumped or stabbed. If you live a dorm setting (a room full of bunk beds) rather than sharing a small cell with one or two other people then I'm sure you'd hate it.

I'm in a similar situation.

I met a girl with a definite beta boyfriend that is baby hungry. I slept at her apartment when her boyfriend was visiting family and multiple times she'd wake me up for sex so that I could cum in her, and she'd stay layed down after I fucked her and half jokingly tell me that she's making a baby.

She'll be making around $200k her first year in the workforce (she graduates in May) - she's about to get a masters in math at an elite school - and honestly I wouldn't be terribly disappointed if I had my first kid with her

Lmao you're naive as fuck. Jesus christ, go outside. Either that or you're european. In America our "hot meals" are literal fucking slop that is devised to cost as little as possible while meeting nutritional daily values. State penitentiary is not the place you willingly check into. I'd rather be homeless (as someone who has been homeless before.) Prison exists as punishment, you stupid kids who think it's chilling in a personal waiting room while daddyguard officer takes care of you wouldn't last a day.
If you're Euro, then I don't know. Really don't know or care about most european imprisonment systems.

People also seem to forget prison costs money to run; they don't let you "check in" to prison because 1. unless it's privately owned, they're using YOUR tax dollars to shelter and feed you morons. costs go up by letting people go in and out like a faggotmotel and 2. you're not supposed to want to check in to prison. it's a punishment. you're thrown in a concrete block with either one or a bunch of other freaks and dumbass motherfuckers (sincerely the stupidest mouthbreathing neanderthals you'll ever meet; you're in prison, remember? the place where people stupid enough to get caught end up) that will be bored because there's nothing to do in a cell. Prison is like summer camp for degenerate, scumbag morons and instead of cabins and fun activities, you get dogslop in concrete boxes with menial labor every day and gigantic homo showers with 40 other criminals. All of this for as long as you're in there. And you better hope you're in a pen with a library or a system of libraries(some prisons let inmates request books from other libraries within the network or allow people from the outside to send you books, some prisons will have one single romance novel encrusted in jizz and you'll be in prison with nothing to do) or you'll be even more fucked.
basically op you're dumb as fuck
