Can anybody recommend me some books that are about a church or set around a church? Or at least concerned with some kind of religious space? I'm reading The Recognitions right now and I particularly enjoy the parts about church.

The Faulkner is Shingles for the lord, and there's another whose name escapes me. I suggest you pick up his collected stories, it's a good read.
