yes sir they are! The actual book was the Communist Manifesto and other essays.

literally this book was twice as thick as the communist manifesto from the other publishing company because of the OTHER ESSAYS. I laughed so hard.

>ITT: Post here if you suck at looking for books.

>> No.1220878

Steinbeck was probably gone because every 16 year old faggot has to read it for class. Did you ask a salesperson about it? because that's how you get the fucking book when a bunch of greasy faced kids buy out the stock on the floor. As for Nietzsche it was probably in multiple sections and quite cheap. You lepers just have trouble navigating an organized alphabetical bookshelf, congrats on that.

I always check for 'Pan' by Knut Hamsun when I'm B&N and it's never in stock. Maybe I should ask them if they can place an order or order it online myself, but I always forget. I should do that now.

No, it just wasn't included in the series of Barnes & Noble classics. Which was the point.

Do you always have this much trouble with reading comprehension? Because there's always SparkNotes, bro.

I work at (Large Chain Bookstore) and honestly, if you're not a douche, we actually like helping you. It's our fucking job. Seriously. Just say, "Hey, I couldn't find [insert book title] and was wondering if they're all out".

We will look it up in the computer system to see if it's in stock. If it's someone like Steinbeck or Nietzsche, odds are we have some on order or in transit.

I get pissed off that when Wicked Day comes around each year, they have loads of different editions of Wizard of Oz but then after that you cannot find copies of it anywhere at B&N.
They have a weird way of stocking their classics.

Going to the library rather than having the information on hand - at farthest, across the house - strikes me as extremely inefficient and expensive.
