Not exactly, no, but you shouldn't expect any grammar book to be all that exciting. Garner's Modern English Usage is the best I've been able to find.

It was used as the textbook in a class of mine this semester. Quite good, simple to understand, clear, and applies its concepts well. Probably better than any other book itt.

No, it's too brief and too idiosyncratic. Garner's Modern English Usage is much better.

>> No.12196552

never even read garner's and i can tell you strunk and white's is wholly unsatisfying. an embarrassing reduction sharked out to colleges for students who either don't care or don't know any better.

>yo' was goin on jewtube n in dis video we gon review the elements of style.
this book concentrates on specific questions of usage—and the cultivation of good writing—with the recommendation "Make every word tell"; hence the 17th principle of composition is the simple instruction: "Omit needless words." and honesty I think this is a very good book that will help you omit needless words but again that is my opinion. what do you guys think? let me know in the comments below and thank you so much for supporting on patreon and dont forget to smash that like button and hit the bell icon alright guys catch you tomorrow for more daily reviews, the epic reviewer out!!!!

This is what you get for being worst-format-tier nigger.
Shell out the big bucks for the 10"+ Onyx Boox models that can actually handle and display PDFs. You can find PDFs of almost any book, and it's the superior format because it's literally an exact copy of the real deal. You even get real life page numbers. I bet if I bought that e-pub, I could find errors throughout the thing, it's usually a copy+paste from an OCR. I doubt they took any care or effort in the presentation either. That's the trade off if you want big giant grandma sized text. I for one don't mind PDFs on a large device because it's literally the same size as it would appear on paper.
PDF > mobi or epub
Only reason people are opposed is because they are ereaderlets with sub 10" devices that can't display PDFs natively without at the very least needing some magnification. No dumbass, that's cause you bought a cheap piece of shit meant for casually reading john grisham novels where it doesn't matter if a few paragraphs are missing here and there.
