This. I have this big brick and i love it, the notes are good, thorough and include amusing remarks now and then, as well as the layout being really nice to read and the paper being smooth af.

HOWEVER if you cannot stand KJV, based Robert Alter's complete annotated translation of it comes out this month on the 18th, which i cant tell you how much im hyping. Hopefully i have found favour in the eyes of Santa

KJV Cambridge Concord Reference Bible is the best for studying as literature.

NRSV is the best for understanding original meaning and therefore theological study.

and if you are going for theological study, pick up a theological dictionary of the new testament. abridged is fine. this is exactly what it sounds like: a dictionary for how some greek and hebrew words were used in other sources, giving context for how they were used in the NT (and OT). invaluable for understanding, especially if you are only familiar with KJV's flowery/archaic prose.
