the 1996 Kenneth Branagh one is very good

it's unabridged, too

I believe the 1996 one is the only unabridged version, it has a weird aesthetic though

very true. Iirc, the movie is like 4 hours long and it took about a week to watch it in my university's (only) undergrad shakespeare course. It's well worth it. Branagh is totally brilliant.
Fuck it. Take a day and watch it twice.

production value was off the charts, but i hated branagh as hamlet. he's too old, doesn't have the requisite charm, and butchers a lot of the lines.
