Harlot High and Low -- sequel to illusions -- reading it now, absolutely fantastic
the wrong side of paris - his final work. decent.

harlot high and low, as my rayner hepenstall translation is titled, is so fucking good I'm about ready to read the rest of la comedie humaine. eugenie grandet and pere goriot are at the top of the list; then cousin bette, black sheep, cousin pons, ....
