He didn't heed me when I told him metaphysics is a difficult subject that requires a lot of preparation, so I cursed him to do that until the end of his days.

I read this book once. I didn't get it. Read two introductions on process-relational philosophy. Still don't really get it.

I doubt anyone in /lit/ really understands Whitehead. When he first started lecturing his fellow professors didn't understand. He's probably only understood properly by a tiny group of people, and somehow I don't think someone with brains like that posts here

For me the closest I came to understanding him have been Matthew Segall's lectures. Then again, that only proves I understand some guy's interpretation of Whitehead...

I understand the parts he shares with Deleuze, ie. process-oriented mentaphysics and the anti-essential differential becoming ontology, but nothing of actual substance.

I read his introduction to look at his catagories. They mostly made sense but I had to compare him to Peirce. I think I had a problem with something he said about concreteness but I don't really remember and have no idea wether or not it was an actual problem or a superficial misunderstanding. Likely the later. I want to return to Whitehead after I finish with Peirce. Peirce is difficult.

I really want to read his book.. and find out if it's as difficult as people claim

I want to read and have a good grasp on PM before I die.
