What is more lit?

To come from a family of successful well adjusted people and academics, probably from New England, growing up around literature, going to a private prep school and Ivy League university, getting top tier grades, having the world as your oyster, and then becoming a writer...

Or to come from a long line of suiciders, murderers, adulterers, criminals, and poor people, probably from the South or Midwest, alternately failing school but also having instructors see you as a brilliant, and then becoming a writer after failing at tons of other things in life?

These aren’t your only choices but I would say the former gets published way more. People who are born into criminality and rebellion should not waste time making money for the kids who run presses i.e. their natural enemies
