What's some good /lit/ music to listen to while reading? Something other than generic lofi shit. I'm so fucking sick of the combination of piano/acoustic guitar, phonograph static, rap beats, and audio samples from sad moments in TV.

brian eno, nujabes, and dropxlife are my go to's. I'd say avoid Nuj since you don't like the lofi shit and Nuj is what all the lofi hip hop nowadays is mimicking (albeit a little more instrumental), check out Eno and Drop. Drop especially since his solo discog has a lot of variety but all stay very dark/subdued so they're all decent for reading.

https://soundcloud.com/dropxlife if you can't find a project in there that's something like what you're looking for I'll shave my chest and eat the hair.

https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=VjEliecQBHA a sample of his stuff. Ignore the art ho video aesthetic.

Brian and Nuj's stuff can be found on spotify nowadays.

William Basinski (preferably water music but what the fuck ever)

as the guy above said brian eno, preferably thursday afternoon and music for airports, discreet music is also perfect but might not fit the reading mood

Firstly, never listen to music when you read. Secondly, I've never heard the kind of music you described.

I live in a house with constant noise of some sort and need something to drown out all the talking, footsteps, blaring televisions, etc. Approximately 100% of music in reading or studying playlists are things like https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=-5IEhMwWTgE& which isn't bad on it's own, but gets repetitive after hearing hours of basically slight variations of the same thing.
