Honest question /lit/, why do you insist on having people start with the Greeks when Wittgenstein already has BTFO Socrates and the entirety of philosophy?

Why not just save people time and tell people to start and end with Wittgenstein?

Philosophy is awesome for its own sake. It's a form of art that expresses itself through a poetry that has been developed through the last millennia and that has the capacity to cross boundaries that while being crossed causes an aesthetic emotion to the beholder but sure with enough intellect one can tell it's just a catachresis and that a categorical mistake was made and thus show the fly the way out of the fly bottle. However, while one is making these categorical mistakes one is actually reconnecting one's semantic network and this is quite helpful as one literally becomes more creative: that is they have greater openness to experience and therefore can recognize unlikely patterns in unlikely conceptual domains, and that leads to greater capacity to be spontaneous, less constrained, and therefore more authentic!

in german academia you start you philosophy degree with Logic (objectively), and language philosophy(Frege, Russel, Wittgenstein, Quine)
Not saying this is the right approach, but it is a more sensical one.
