Fucked up song right there.

There's an immortal technique interview where the interviewer asks him why he's not out fomenting revolution if he's been singing about revolutionary all these years, and his response is basically "I've never heard of a guerilla leader who raised their kids - I wonder what Che's children thought of him," which is kind of a ridiculous excuse, but also kinda real and gives me a little bit of respect for him.

Also remember when he had that song about Bush doing 9/11?

>Also remember when he had that song about Bush doing 9/11?
>"bush did 9/11"
>these are the same people who say "bush is also a dummy"

Wait till he finds out who the majority ethnic group behind the neocons were with names like Perle, the Wurmsers, Feith, Wolfowitz, etc. Wonder if he'll ever realize that Snopes and other internet skeptics have never had an article "debunking" the Urban Moving Systems incident on 9/11.

I'm probably a wussy, but Kafka's Metamorphosis creeped the fuck out of me when I read it.

I think the scariest stories play off aspects of our own lives and I'm probably fated to be a sad wage slave who is slowly disconnected from his family.

Shit like this is why I can't stand a lot of arrogant philosophy. There is no greater teacher than simple observation and thinking.

I haven't been truly unsettled by a book like that since I was a kid and read The Shining while on a family vacation (i.e. staying in a hotel).

Steps by Kozinski was pretty unsettling. Some stories in Teatro Grotesca are good. The Things They Carried, but that was maybe 20 years ago that I read it.

>> No.12056764

i find it hard to be scared by books. i'm not trying to be hardcore. even fucking shit movies affect me. but books never actually get me scared, even though i love them. i read all of lovecraft, house of leaves, reading through ligotti's teatro grotessca at the moment

i remember being spooked by turn of the screw i guess but i think i saw the opera first and that's my scary memory
and then the subsequent film
and then i read the book and wasn't scared but thought 'oh that's the thing that scared me'

i'm genuinely not happy that i can't get immersed enough in books for them to scare me like other media
