How do you get your book judged objectively, or as close to humanly possible, to learn whether you have even a modicum of talent for writing?

Just from this small sample size I can tell you have great talent for writing. You got a capital letter to start, some commas, a question mark, and I was able to understand clearly what you were saying. Very impressive friend. I think you're gonna go far. And modicum, what a good word! You don't see that every day.

You are a mean person with your insulting sarcasm.
I don't like you very much.

Is there an objective difference between pretentiousness and eloquent writing or is it merely subjective, being based upon the reader and the subject material being discussed?

you unironically try and get mass herds of normies to pay money to see your work, thats the best way to see if you have talent to make it as a writer. critics are fags

money is the best objective, anything else is subjective

Pretension is when you (badly) mimic the superficial characteristics of something sophisticated while missing the actual point of it.

Depends on whether you understand the definition of whatever words your using and how they should be fitted into the sentence.
If you intend to say something simple but bust out the ol thesaurus to look for "smarter" words, thats pretentious.
Family guy sums it up perfectly with that skit "shallow and pedantic"
