I read all the way up to where Tobias became a taxxon and then I couldn't obtain the rest of the series. Now I'll feel like I'm wasting time if I read the rest as an adult. Feels bad man.

I read bits and pieces as a kid and then read the entire series again when I was on vacation a few years ago. It's actually not that long since the volumes are slim and the reading, light.

The story definitely feels more brutal when read as an adult. Sometimes I wonder what Applegate (or her numerous ghostwriters) were thinking when they wrote this stuff.

I just went back to read the David trilogy last week, cause I remembered how messed up those three were. This series was some heavy stuff. It's actually still enjoyable as an adult, maybe even more so.
