Hey /lit/, any big Tolkien fans here who can recommend me a solid edition of LOTR/Sillmarillon for collection purposes? I only have battered old copies of them.
Pic related, been eyeing this one, though for that price I'm sure there's better.

there's a version of LOTR in a red cover, all one giant book, has a foldup map.
has to be somewhat old edition, read it back in late 80's, very early 90s

Isn’t this the 60th Anniversary edition? I understand it comes with drawings not found in the original book. It’s nice but I prefer the 50th Anniversary edition. It doesn’t have the extra drawings and still contains the last round of text corrections.
