Does reading books like Gravity's Rainbow have any real life benefits?

No. Read Kant if you actually want something useful.

yeah the very first thing I think of when the word useful appears is Kant's synthetical unity of apperception, i use that every day in my practical dealings

Did you read the Critique of Practical Reason and Metaphysics of Morals, or did you get stuck on the Critique of Pure Reason?

Kant is unironically very useful, he’s practically the Marcus Aurelius of Enlightenment

there's absolutely no day-to-day usefulness to Kant's thought, except for his autist-tier system of ethics. And reading Kant himself will not be enough, you'd have to contextualize his thinking according to contemporary thinkers like Sellars and Carnap.
Overall my point is that stop being a stuck-up faggots, stop derailing my thread.

You just need to read Kant more
