Going back to the 50s, William Appleman Williams' The Tragedy of American Diplomacy is essential.

If you want to be sure to get on the watch list, Sayyid Qutb's Milestones.

Definitely read all these, but always keep in mind that the real problem is the Jews.

The type of racism in each was distinct in each.
The SS wasn't a ignorant band of bible-belt hicks whose analysis of race was literally only skin deep. The SS may very well have viewed blacks as inferior but it wasn't driven out of pure animus as in the case of KKK. Black Olympians of the 1930s wrote they experienced more prejudice in the United States than Nazi Germany.
This isn't to endorse them but the racism of the Klan was pure, unadulterated hatred and it would make sense why even Nazis would be opposed to them.
