"Marx" in the past master's series by Peter Singer is a really good primer for Das Kapital. I'm a marxist-leninist unlike most people in this thread , I'd say you really should read everything by Marx, everything by Engles, and then Lenin, a bit from Stalin, Mao and so on. Really, Marxism is never finished, there's always more to read.
