Sup c/lit/s. I got my BA in American Lit and subsequently moved out of my state, now I'm stuck out of school for the 12 months with no classes. I need to catch up on my lit classics and fill in the blanks from my shitty undergrad education so I can be a strong and mighty litfag lady next year.
So, please post some recommendations for me! The equivalent of /lit/ popeye spinach. I'm open to everything except Tolstoy's War & Peace--fuck that noise.

Way to go OP. We probably wouldn't have recommended War and Peace if you hadn't have mentioned it. Now you'll just get trolled. Man up and read it.

OP here. I have read War & Peace and I hated the everliving fuck out of it.

Read it again until you've learned to like it. You clearly aren't doing it right.

This thread is now about War & Peace.

sometimes you have to re-read things to appreciate them. it's a skill you should learn as a disciple of the /lit/.
