at best his comedy is OK. The Ted X talk was pretty funny. The homophobic routine where he just tried to empty a room was awful but I get the idea of emptying a room full of hipsters is pretty funny.

He did it to himself. He knew people at Adult Swim didn't like him and he only got the pilot for MDE because he kept nagging them.

If he kept his head down and just did the work he'd maybe be the next Eric Andre, but he didn't. He started calling people out and complaining the show wasn't what it was meant to be, plus the ratings weren't great either. On top of that, harrassing Tim Heidecker at home and on online streams was unprofessional (no matter what your opinion is of Tim outside of Tim & Eric, if you're wanting to make a good impression in television, attacking contemporaries and then implying your fans should do the same isn't good in anybody's books).

He's honestly just done this all to himself. He could've been great because, although his comedy isn't great, there's unfunnier people out there than him who have become more successful and he seemed to like taking a provocative and semi-experimental road in comedy that others at Adult Swim have also done. It's just he's a bitter man-child who doesn't know when to keep his mouth shut.

The ratings were great for the timeslot and performed better than other shows. It was purely because hidecker and his jew friends attacked the Adult Swim advertisers. They already admit this. AS even wanted to do s2 and when that wasn't an option they wanted to buy all the rest of skits from MDE
