"Death solves all problems - no man, no problem."
- Anatoly Rybakov

this quote is more or less what i got down to thinking about what the meaning of life is or better yet "what gives humans meaning"
WE give US meaning.

if you can push a button that would Genocide every human on the planet then that "is" a bad thing to do why?
because we living creatures do not want to die, so subjectively its a "bad" thing to do and therefore the only state of that action being anything depends on US as humans.
so when you push the button and humans are no longer existing then there is "no man" to think of it as a "problem" and therefore Genocide on all of humanity is OK.
Now this means our non-existence is meaningless, but that makes our existence infinitely meaningful.
the butterfly effect thing(dont ask me how it works) you could place a mine in a minefield and your mine might never harm a fly or you could kill the dude who was going to cure cancer.
if nothing happens to the device it is meaningless, but if it gets stepped on its all of a sudden as meaningful as it can get.
You have the potential to be your reason to keep living but killing yourself wouldn't matter that much except for you and a couple people that give a fuck about you.
>you have the power.
