I've met girls in the arthoe category. They wouldn't dare touch Infinite Jest. At least not actually read it.
They don't actually read, the carry around books as accessories. I know a girl who bought some huge fancy edition of fucking Platos Apology, she would walk around with it and practically shove it in your face.
