One year of law school is the master race really.
You can still be admitted to the Bar in NY with only a year of education.
You aren't going to be hired by a big law firm but you can still raise hell being an Esq as needed. You typically get more respect when people find out.

If you're doing Grad school in the humanities you're just commiting life success suicide unless your parents are very wealthy. Though going to Grad school to get educated in something that will actually make you money is great.

Teaching is just a fucking hellscape. If you want to enjoy being a teacher go volunteer somewhere, maybe even make a little making a hobby practice out of it.

There's worse ways to spend your life. The work is interesting and the pay is good. The problem is the amount of work you have to do. As a junior lawyer, you'll regularly be working till 10 PM. They do fairly compensate you for doing that though.

I ended up deciding If rather earn less working in a Big 4 financial services firm after a few years of law, but I've got a lot of mates who stuck it out and made it work for them.
