That still doesn’t undermine my point you got most of your early fortune by pure speculation and leveraging that wealth into other things. Hell your boast also relies on a major speculation on the future (which I agree with btw but that’s not the main point) that you assume you can benefit from.

People like you who make the discussion about yourself distract from the main point, that people who can actually become millionaires solely by low risk investments are the rich themselves and they leverage their wealth to make more money much easily than everyone. The fact that you had to rely on a lucky break on risky crypto to even be on track to be a millionaire should highlight the gap between you and the rich.

I agree with you the future is dim, i wouldnt pin it on the very wealthy though, i would pin it mostly on boomers. If you have read the book by that japanese immigrant (Rich dad poor dad) you will know what im talking about, its the perfect encapsulation of the boomer mentality. I wouldnt mind a hard rest like the marxists get wet thinking about but that in itself would be a much greater speculation than the "lucky" break ive had (every generation have their lucky breaks, look at the dot com bubble or the 70's stock market boom). Nor do I, merely critiquing the system that empowers them to do so.

And the lucky breaks I mentioned are personal to you, I don’t see why you refer to the boom and bust of yesteryears, most are not due to luck but the overvaluation of certain things. (Especially 2008)

We can agree on that. If i have any political opinions its that the government is doing a terrible job at what its designated to do (regardless of your opinion on its right to existance)

>I don’t see why you refer to the boom and bust of yesteryears, most are not due to luck but the overvaluation of certain things.
I would consider those booms in the same category as crypto. It may be forgotten by now but many people lost money on the dotcom bubble, just like the crypto one

>> No.11803948

>>11803833
I guess, but I am sure we disagree on the reasons why the government sucks.

>I would consider those booms in the same category as crypto
Not really, the dotcom boom is based on the invention of the Internet, which did and still has revelant input into the economy. It just that it’s arrival was overvalued. The same can’t be said with crypto, where there is no innate value in it. It is more like the Beanie plushies that everyone thought will shoot up in value.

There were an extreme amount of companies being founded that added nothing to the economy, just like many of the shitcoins. There were some good companies being founded though, just like there are good cryptocoins. The mantra that all crypto is useless is simply wrong, it has been used for a long time in the black market for anonymous purposes. >> No.11804084

> The mantra that all crypto is useless is simply wrong,
I never said it was useless but it had no value since it is a currency that everyone ties values into it for it to function. The Internet did have value that the market overestimated. It adds value to processes and stuff by its existence, crypto merely is used to represent said things

>> No.11804088

>>11804084
> it had no value since it is a currency that everyone ties values into it for it to function
This is not how crypto works, and there is more to crypto than merely being a number on coinmarketcap. There is a lot of technology tied to it that makes said functions possible where it otherwise would not be. Cryptos also market themselves in different ways depending on what their "goal" is

Not at all. Interpreting Marx this way is the perfect signifier that the person in question doesn't know what he is talking about and essentially fell for a buzzwords described worldview by the currently popular demagogues on YouTube.
Marxism distinguishes between personal property and private property. People are just not supposed to own the means of production as to be capable to exploit the population.
