So, I've been reading A.J. Raffles (currently on 'Further adventures') and I'm struck by the fact that Bunny never seems to get to be quite as awesome as Watson (or maybe I'm just blinded by affection FOR Watson)

Either way, it raised a question in my mind: swap up the sideics. Watson ends up cajoled into helping Raffles commit his burglaries rather than taking up rooms at Baker Street with Holmes.
Likewise Bunny in his debt finds his way to Holmes somehow.

So, who got the better end of the deal /co/? Would Bunny be better as Holmes' assistant than Raffles'? Could Watson's courage and resolve have improved Raffles' own thefts?
