Looking for some books that take place in post apocalyptic settings, preferably dealing with the undead/zombies.

day of the triffids, the postman, a canticle for liebowitz

fuck your zombie shit, that shit is played out, son.

Hater and Dog Blood by David Moody. They aren't exactly zombies, but close enough. Your mileage may very though. Dog Blood was slow as hell and almost pointless, imo.

Plague of the Dead and Thunder and Ashes by Z.A. Recht. Straight up zombie fiction.

Patient Zero-Jonathan Maberry
Rot and Ruin-Jonathan Maberry
Chasing Light-Gabby Taub (can only get on amazon or lulu.com)

I recently made the mistake of trying of The Morningstar Strain series.

I would suggest staying away from that.

Extremely stereotypical characters, horribly written, formulaic, etc.

The Postman is decent.

Also, read The Road immediately if you have not.

The Road was fucking garbage

The Stand has no zombies, but plenty of post apocalypse

>> No.1172231

The Stand. No undead/zombies, but it's post-apocalyptic, all right.
