Has there ever been a clash between /lit/ and /sci/?

I posted something about philosophy of science there about a year ago and the overwhelming response was philosophy is gay and stupid and pointless. In other other words, they are idiots outside their expertise.

Actually did not now there was a /sci/. haven't left lit since.. 2011

/sci/ is full of autists incapable of understanding anything that isn't circle jerking over who's math degree was the most difficult.

/lit/ is full of autists who's heads hurt too much when they try to do algebra and think mental gymnastics counts as logic.

Being both /lit/ AND /sci/ is the only true path to enlightenment.

Lately /sci/ has contrarion'd itself into circlejerking over philosophy

Really, no. You’ll mostly be getting contradictory stories on what constitutes valid knowledge. If you can draw conclusions, you’ll fall more in line with one group and realize the other is narrow minded. The alternative is epistemic nihilism

/sci/ seems to actually have more smart anons (if they're not simply pretending to be in graduate STEM programs). But they're easily baited due to mediocre verbal intelligence

Crossposting patrician here. Recently, there have been a lot of philosophical discussions on /sci/, specially regarding to free will and determinism. Most /sci/ posters still sperg out whenever metaphysics is brought up, though.

Lul, /sci/ is trapped wholly in the StriveDrive Vmeme (aka stage orange). If you don't know what that means, go learn. Then you will hardly give a fuck what they think, lol

/sci/ can barely handle their math homework, let alone deal with complex abstract thinking. They seem very smart because they can google definitive answers rather than try to actually posit something from their own intelligence.
