What books discuss similar topics as he did in his manifesto?
I really liked his points against technological evolution.

Camatte is fucking incredible, but completely unknown, even here in France. Even my communists friends have never head of him (But I've yet to find a well-read commie)

Here is his essay 'Against domestication'

You know the technological question is the only intellectual problem worth addressing today when communists, right-wingers, philosophers, scientists and religious figures all give the same critique of the technological society. Those who dodge the technological questions are cowards. DO NOT give current thinkers a second of your life if they don't address it.

Didn't he break with marxism at large though? I can see him being disowned by people that would have helped promoting him otherwise.

100% this.

Read his two other books. They are better than the manifesto, by far.

not quite the same, but a Nobel scientist talking about not knowing ourselves while our science advances and problems because of it.
