You don't want to force yourself into a belief or you just risk believing into a conjured up monster.
It will come naturally and if it doesn't it wasn't meant to be.

Catholicism is more of a system of traditions than anything of a coherent philosophy. traditions are hella hard to grow out, and honestly, you dont really have to. As long as you make sure the traditions dont break any principle or philosophy you now stand for, just let them be an odd mementos of where you came from

about 15% of people just don't have the capacity for religious belief. even in countries that claim to be 100% religious e.g. saudi arabia there are millions of people who just don't believe. they follow the rituals out of fear or wanting to fit in.
of course there are people who come to believe or disbelieve but that's different.
you're probably one of the 15%. me too.
