What is the solution to REASON overwhelming our sense of morality? Some will tell you that the antidote to the iron cage of rationality is JUNGIAN individuation or CAMPBELLIAN Hero-journeying.

Criminality is not the monstrousness he is referring to. Those monsters are usually not ideologically driven and are pretty much ignorant of themselves.

It is the systemic, legalized forms of monstrousness that are normalized via our political and corporate leadership that are so worrisome. These things are a byproduct of us teaching people that they should be willing to step on others if it means climbing the ladder.
