You know you're supposed to read it in Quenya, right? English just can't carry all the nuances and wordplay and what the author truly meant.

Did Latin America get the best covers? I bought all the books in spanish as a kid (in Argentina). I was fascinated by John Howe's art. Now that I'm expanding my collection (versions in english) I've realized how rare are the books with Howe's art.

Quenya was modelled after Finnish, and I´ve read Silmarillion in Finnish so close enough.

Honestly, Silmarillion in Quenya would feel like the most natural thing ever.

>In 1955 he told the poet WH Auden that discovering Finnish had been like "entering a complete wine-cellar filled with bottles of an amazing wine of a kind and flavour never tasted before".

I think we have reason to be proud.

I don't like those. Lee and Howe are just great, I have to buy an artbook.
