OP is insecure about himself and needs posts of 'cringe' to steer himself away from that which he deems to be an undesirable characteristic. I treat OPs post pathologically because the fact I don't see anything cringy about OPs picture, I find it to be cute. I also try to show how self conscious to get admired on this board full of pseudointellectual autists that have their own issues of things like depression, shame, mental illness, etc.
Now I'm pathologizing the whole of 4chan because I consider the issues of my own failings not to be an isolated case and rather an repeating patern of those who browse 4chan.
Also smiley with a carrot face :^) and I'm ironically making this post cringy and preemptively pointing it out as an example of an self conscious intellectual, not.

My girlfriend asked me to strip for her, so I did.

First I took off my pride. I wore it like a shawl to protect all my insecurities. She loved it.

I took off my shame. It hung around my legs, a thousand uncomfortable memories wound tight like twine to hide my ability to be free and open. She loved it.

I took off my fear. They gripped my feet like stone slippers, hoping to keep me from ever leaping as far as I was capable, often succeeding. She loved it.

Finally I took off my doubt. The doubt that was there so long it had become me. I ripped it off revealing the flesh of my love for her and the bone-depth of my feelings for her and the blood that rushed for only her, forever. She didn’t love that.

She left wearing my clothes.

I dressed for winter.

Lying requires more energy within social contexts because a lie that has been embedded continues to proliferate as the social interactions continue. One therefore has to keep track of every lie within every social context and avoid being discovered because deception has extremely negative effects on status within a group. Thus it requires less energy over long term interactions with various groups to simply tell the truth as best as you are able.

What this is saying is that conversations are more interesting when there is conflict. When Gandalf says "Frodo take the ring," he doesn't fucking WANT TO. He's wealthy and lives a fucking cushy life drinking and eating with his friends. He dreams of adventure, but would want to do it in a safe, danger-lite way-- like travelling to Rivendell and back, which is all he initially signs up for. After facing death a MULTITUDE of times, he wants nothing more than to push it off onto Aragorn or someone and go home... but he doesn't. Even though he wants to say no, he agrees to take the ring all the way to Mordor. That's what makes him a HERO. How can you guys be so /lit/erally retarded that you think that the advice here is that conversations should be replaced by the actual word "no?"
