>The Jews therefore strove among themselves, saying: How can this man give us his flesh to eat? Then Jesus said to them: Amen, amen I say unto you: Except you eat the flesh of the Son of man, and drink his blood, you shall not have life in you. He that eateth my flesh, and drinketh my blood, hath everlasting life: and I will raise him up in the last day. For my flesh is meat indeed: and my blood is drink indeed. He that eateth my flesh, and drinketh my blood, abideth in me, and I in him. As the living Father hath sent me, and I live by the Father; so he that eateth me, the same also shall live by me. This is the bread that came down from heaven. Not as your fathers did eat manna, and are dead. He that eateth this bread, shall live for ever.

John 6:52-58

It will probably be made illegal to teach Christianity to your children. Child baptism will be banned, resulting in the loss of many souls to limbo. Adults will probably be allowed to practice in private for a while yet.

>"Consider how contrary to the mind of God are the heterodox in regard to the grace of God which has come to us. They have no regard for charity, none for the widow, the orphan, the oppressed, none for the man in prison, the hungry or the thirsty. They abstain from the Eucharist and from prayer, because they do not admit that the Eucharist is the flesh of our Savior Jesus Christ, the flesh which suffered for our sins and which the Father, in His graciousness, raised from the dead."
>"I have no taste for the food that perishes nor for the pleasures of this life. I want the Bread of God which is the Flesh of Christ, who was the seed of David; and for drink I desire His Blood which is love that cannot be destroyed."

Ignatius of Antioch 80-110AD

This is from the bishop of Antioch; the cradle of Christianity. The practices of this bishop are sure to have been in line with that of the Apostles. I don't understand how protestants can say that the eucharist wasnt the intention of Jesus.

Any Church that doesn't believe in the Real Presence is not truly Christian. We can quibble over the exact metaphysical explanation for "how" it happens, or what's involved, all we want. But all the real, big-boy Churches are united in their belief that it is the literal Body and Blood of Christ you eat every Sunday.

The old covenant still stands! The Jews will always be his chosen people. They don't need saves.
God bless Israel.

As a protestant, I'm incapable of analyzing more than one small sentence at a time. Sometimes not even that if a verse is in between.
I'm pretty sure after the comma, a new verse begins so this whole story doesn't matter.
God bless. Amen.

We are going to take a look at the Bread of Life Discourse from John 6. In my opinion, this is one of the most profound moments in Christ’s life; given He speaks in parables to relate to all and to conceal Himself, John 6 provides one of Christ’s most explicit discourses in His life; He couldn’t be any clearer. In light of the Last Supper’s bread and wine being the body and blood of Christ, John 6 will reveal whether Christ was being literal or metaphorical.

So, in the middle of John 6, the Bread of Life Discourse, Christ first starts off by saying He is the Bread of Life, the Bread that came down from Heaven.
>“I am the bread of life,” (35).
>“I am the bread of life,” (48).
>“I am the living bread that came down from heaven,” (51).

Upon the first utterance, the Jews were skeptical of Jesus saying this. They heard a literal statement from Christ and countered with “Is not this Jesus, the son of Joseph, whose father and mother we know? How can he now say, ‘I have come down from heaven’?”

Given Christ reaffirming His identity as the Bread of Life to the dismayed Jews, He tells them to eat His flesh.

>“the bread that I will give for the life of the world is my flesh,” (51).
>“Very truly, I tell you, unless you eat the flesh of the Son of Man and drink his blood, you have no life in you,” (53)
>“Those who eat my flesh and drink my blood have eternal life,” (54).
>“my flesh is true food and my blood is true drink,” (55)
>“Those who eat my flesh and drink my blood abide in me, and I in them,” (56).
>“whoever eats me will live because of me,” (57)

After Jesus first tells the Jews that the Bread of Life is His flesh, the Jews immediately backlash and said,
>“How can this man give us his flesh to eat?” (52).
Once they said this, Christ reaffirms that the veracity of the Bread of Life being His flesh five times over.
>literally five more times
At no point does He ever clarify Himself as being metaphorically. He consistently says that bread is His flesh, knowing full well that the Jews were offended by His explicit statements.

After reaffirming that His flesh is true food and His blood true drink so many times, the Jews said,
>“This teaching is difficult; who can accept it?” (60).
And Jesus does not reply with “You got it, wrong.” He goes on to say,
>“Does this offend you?” (61).
After His many reaffirmations and His lack of allusion to metaphorical meaning, Jesus Christ lets thousands of people walk away from Him.
>at least 10,000 people leave (there were 5000 present, and that did not even include women and children)
The masses who experiences His loaves and fish miracle left and so did his many followers. Christ even invites the twelve to depart from Him; this is how serious and literal Christ is about this teaching. He let thousands of people leave Him and invites the twelve to leave to. And they didn’t leave because of a metaphor.

I will add a comment about verse 58,
>“This is the bread that came down from heaven, not like that which your ancestors ate, and they died. But the one who eats this bread will live forever.”

In the Septuagint Greek translation, the Koiné Greek uses two different verbs for eat, “phagos” and “trogos.” Phagos means to eat implying eating at a dinner table, filling a carnal appetite and it is typically used to refer to a singular event in the past. Trogos means to chew, gnaw, focusing on the slow process of consumption and is only used in the present tense, indicating a continual event, continual action.

Phagos is used in reference to the ancestors who ate the manna, but died. Trogos is used in reference to the Bread of Life that Jesus says is His flesh, the bread that will give man eternal life.

So, is Christ being metaphorical when He says to eat His flesh and drink His blood? Hardly. Is He merely using symbols of true food and true drink? Hardly. Upon hearing the backlash of the masses, Christ does not double down, but sextuple downs. The Jews took His speech literally and Christ never indicates that He was speaking in metaphor. He even uses such explicitness when describing eating His body. Jesus Christ in no way was being metaphorical about eating His flesh and drinking His blood. He was literal, blatant, and explicit. So, when Christ says “this is my Body… This is my Blood,” He is not being metaphorical.

Another thing that isn't specific to John 6, but is connect to Christ being the Bread of Life that came down from Heaven.

>Jesus says He is the Bread of Life that came down from Heaven.
>Christ was born in Bethlehem. Bethlehem translates to "house of bread."
So, Jesus Christ, the Bread of Life, came down from Heaven to the "house of bread."
>He was placed in a manger. A manger is where sheep eat.
We are Christ's flock of sheep that are the eat from the manger where the Bread of Life is.
>Manger in French means "to eat."
We eat the Bread of Life that is Jesus Christ.

All these major tech companies get government grants. They suck up tax dollars like a sponge. This. Reading it and imagining it happening in real time, with the crowd jeering and reacting, it's plain as day. He drove them all away and just kept repeating and reinforcing the central point, he never once clarified that it meant something else than what the crowd assumed and it's precisely that the crowd assumed correctly that they were so offended.

And no, the private sector should not be bound to keep you as a customer/employee/whatever even though you like screaming niggerfaggotkike. That's not the state controlling your speech, that's private individuals choosing to disassociate with you.
