Why is this so? It's played out to be true, no one can have a conversation on this man. In fact, it seems as though most who love to argue on him have never read a single work of his. Why does he attract this kind of attention?

Is it really as simple as the fact that he's gay, and it triggers /pol/? And he was a "crypto-normativist" which triggers /leftypol/?

That's propaganda. Nietzsche respected the jews but he wasn't fond of them. Genealogy of Morals basically paints the jews as the worst people that have ever lived. In Gay Science he accuses them of 'judaizing' Europe (by inventing and ingraining the concept of sin)

Nietzsche basically concurred with the ancient consensus on jews as expressed by Tacitus. What he despised were Germans, specifically the sort he identified his sister with.

Nietzsche's anti-antisemitism therfore had a personal rather than an intellectual basis. In recent decades this has been suppressed and distorted by Kaufmann and his ilk in trying to rehabilitate Nietzsche's image. Nietzsche's hatred of antisemites is highly irrational and bordering on pathological, in addition to being at odds with his actual philosophy.

From Nietzsche, you can read the first Untimely Meditation (Uses and Disadvantages of History for Life), Beyond Good and Evil (specifically the chapter on Peoples and Fatherlands), Twilight of the Idols (What the Germans Lack/What I Owe to the Ancients), and Anti-Education, which is basically a screed against the German educational system of his day.

As aforesaid, biographers, translators, editors and commentators have been suppressing the nastier passages of Nietzsche for decades. Hollingdale is the most faithful and impartial translator. Kaufmann was a real philosemite who had fits every time Nietzsche said something vaguely antisemitic.

nobody really. Jews have their place, anglos have their place, minorities are kind of given a weird voice and lots of money but still considered as children in most senses, it's kind of just an erasure of authority.

It seems like shit just kind of happens now in a way that the ambiguous poltiical structures effect vague whatevers in their particular domains, none of which are really cohering with each other, and probably leading to some kind of fundamental crisis.

In an era of more mass media than ever this statement is patently absurd. Are you serious, narrative and the news cycle have declined despite the ubiquity of social media powered smartphones? This defies basic observation.

Nothing's progressed bro. Progress, man, is, like, a capitalist system. TVs and medicine and shit? All bullshit. Things were so much better in the Renaissance.

no they definitely have not, but what the people think never really matters unless they are actively rebelling

by authority i mean a dictator like figure, who is controlling things, and a multiplicity of underling dictators who control their portions. We have moved away from that to a vague rule by unsure bureaucracy where nobody is aligned and nothing is made sense of. I think it will end badly

the media, in concert with academia, and the state department and related branches of the government, are exactly this tyrant. But it is a schizophrenic tyrant without a clear head or goal, generally just degrading into madness
>implicitly?
definitely implicity, they are all on the same team, but they don't really understand what the team is. This decade it's blacks, the next it's gays, the next, trans. You get the gist. This has been happening since authority was first taken from a king.

why are people so incapable of understanding Nietzsche's views on Jews? He didn't like the common form of antisemitism in germany, because he saw it as essentially populist and filled with ressentiment. But he didn't like Jews either, he shits on them all the time for various reasons. Like most things he had a nuanced opinion and praises them for some of their qualities.

The point being if you were to repeat word for word what Nietzsche said about jews today in germany you would be 100% accused of antisemitism, just a different variety than the usual Nazi type of antisemitism.
