Is the Warrior-poet the most fake archetype? Bar some few exceptions every writer ever has been an escapist.
Those that are active and spend their lifeforce in the real world rarely write or care about literature.

I understand your argument but that's not really true. It's basically a casual dismissal of the entire world of human expression, as if the desire to create can only come from some lack of earthly purpose. If I'm to insert my opinions, I think it's those who are active and spending their lifeforce in the real world are exactly the ones to create either good art or at least the kind of art that lasts through the ages, depending on how you want to interpret it.

That said... History is littered with actual warrior poets. It's not fake, it's just romantic.
