The first half is fun and I broadly agree with his worldview, but it's an essay LARPing as a book. The repetition of the motifs gets tiring in the second half and it's too obvious that the length was stretched so they could sell it as a "real book". This makes the lack of sources a bigger problem than it otherwise would have been.

It's a great gift for people that read one book every few years. Total "#bookworm" instagram post material.

I was looking forward to Homo Deus but he's become such a fucking meme among pseuds and normies that it's put me off reading him.
