Crime and Punishment.
I've never killed anyone, but Raskolnikov captured my ideas on ethics and morality perfectly.

Yep, Cathcher in the Rye. My english teacher was a legend and gave me all his personal faves to read over summer. He placed this book in front of me one day and just said 'reminds me of you'. I think that was when i realised i only had a lifetime of mental illness to look forward to. Good book.

It's all a big show, niggers. Pelevin puts it nicely in this one.

Also, everyone who used Catcher in the Rye is a faggot.

Everyone can, to some degree, identify with H.C., thus the popularity of the book. Grats on your safe choice, you lame fucks.

It's frequently criticised for being an erratic fanfare of ideas, however Camus writes so concisely that the concepts he proposes are quite easy to grasp.

If you were enthralled by The Outsider, then yes it is.

Can´t really tell if you are being serious or just an underdeveloped douche - I'm gonna assume the first because you sound stupid and stupid folk like you need people to look up to.

As to why I chose Faust, I read it first when I was about eleven (no big feat considering I´m from Germany)and read it countless times since and I can safely say that Goethes somewhat cynical view of religion and government has influenced "how I view the world".

Wasn't Catcher in the Rye a criticism of that angsty view of the world?
