Something you could both enjoy, in my case it was Interview with the vampire, Sidhartha, and Jurassic Park. I’ve done this with my so a few times now, we have recommended books to each other and read them at the same time. As we go we have something to talk about and share our thoughts and feelings throughout the stories we share with eachother. The ability to have these discussions has really helped us get to know each other on a much more intimate level by allowing us to reveal our deepest feelings and engage in deeper dialouge. I think everyone should do this with their so. Also, sometimes it is fun to read different books about similar topics (she once read a book on One cultures creation myths while I read about another’s creation myths ) and afterwards we tak about the two and compare
