The gospels always tell us not (Matthew 7:2) to but its just feels good when I call someone a faggot. If I don't judge how will I know right from wrong? Am I sinning /lit/ or maybe I misunderstood the passage?
Help me out.
Here is the verse

Matthew 7:2
For with what judgment ye judge, ye shall be judged:
and with what measure ye mete, it shall be measured to you again.

why wouldnt you do that?
the problem with judging actions is, you need to know all of the factors that made one do something. but you will never know all of these, since some are hidden within ones mind, and some have been consequences of other actions, which you would also need factors of.

Basically, no.
What's most important is that you radically transform you inner self. Actions alone aren't enough, you need to shed your ego through Christ. It's ok if you lapse and err, that's why Christ was sacrificed, so that you could be forgiven.
If you truly have Christ in your heart, you wouldn't judge. But all you need to do is repent and seek Him, and you will be ok.

It says you get judged based on how you judge others. So if you judge fairly you'll be judged fairly. Therefore if I accurately sumrise that someone on /lit/ is being absolutely retarded there's nothing sinful about it

You should judge with the intentions of transformation. Lend your hand because you know someone is being evil. Do not simply point.

The best way to lend a hand to those here is usually prayer.

>> No.11520329

The Bible doesn't tell us not to judge. It says judge not lest ye be judged. The Bible tells us to first judge ourselves, and once we fix ourselves and brought ourselves up to their own standard, then it's ok to judge others. It's perfectly ok to identify someone as a faggot as long as you're not a faggot. Faggots have seized on that line as a justification for their faggotry and to silence Christians, which is completely contrary to the spirit of scripture and is of Satan.

The bible tells us to judge rightly and justly and gently, not by mere appearances and not hypocritically and not carelessly or vainly. There's no injunction against "judging" itself, we have to judge right and wrong and help others correct their mistakes and help them improve. Also Court Judges and so forth have to make judgements else crimes would have no consequences. Here are some verses telling us to judge rightly:

Do not judge by appearances, but judge with right judgment.” John 7:24

Open your mouth, judge righteously, defend the rights of the poor and needy. Proverbs 31:9

“You shall do no injustice in court. You shall not be partial to the poor or defer to the great, but in righteousness shall you judge your neighbor. " Leviticus 19:15

And the Lord's servant must not be quarrelsome but kind to everyone, able to teach, patiently enduring evil, correcting [i.e judging] his opponents with gentleness. 2 Timothy 2:24

When one of you has a grievance against another, does he dare go to law before the unrighteous instead of the saints? Or do you not know that the saints will judge the world? And if the world is to be judged by you, are you incompetent to try trivial cases? Do you not know that we are to judge angels? How much more, then, matters pertaining to this life! So if you have such cases, why do you lay them before those who have no standing in the church? I say this to your shame. Can it be that there is no one among you wise enough to settle a dispute between the brothers, ... 1 Corinthians 6:1-6

I think that it's saying that if you hold people to a standard then you will be held to it. So for instance if you say "I will give the worst possible review to any book that is less than perfect" then it'd only be fair that any book you wrote that was less than perfect be given the worst possible review. If you say that someone's unforgivable because they hurt your feelings, then you're also saying that you're unforgivable because you've hurt someone's feelings. So don't invent scales like that and pin people to it. If you think someone has done something wrong then pray about it and if necessary say so, but in Mathew chapter 7 verse 5 Jesus says "First remove the plank from your own eye, then you'll be able to see clearly to remove the speck from your brother's eye." Jesus didn't fail to call people out on doing wrong things, but first and foremost he made sure that his own actions were impeccable. The more we love and grow like Jesus the better we'll be able to help others to do the same. Now that I've written this I've got some planks to remove from my own eyes first. Excuse me.

I'm pretty sure your religion's origin story talks about humans eating from the tree of knowledge of good and evil and you're trying to tell me that the only way you know how to discern the two is by judging others? Sounds like you just like to be judgmental. It would be great if christianity used the sephirot so I could explain to you why judgement is damaging toy yourself and others when its not balanced. Judging others trains your brain to be judgemental in all situations instead of just "being", which tends to be a lower anxiety state that lets people open up. Judgment gets you nowhere.
