What should I major in if I want to go to law school? I like economics, philosophy, and English as top choices right now, but I want to take French, architecture, and film studies as well.

The Voyage of the Dawn Treader

I'm finding it really, really boring. Obviously it's not difficult, and I just blazed through the Silmarillion, but it's dull. That's not even because it's children's lit, The Lion the Witch and the Wardrobe is great. But it's like Prince Caspian in that it's about Prince Caspian getting all the goodies on his side and they beat the mean baddies. It's so straightforward with no interesting wrinkles at all.

I don't have a favourite colour, I like them all.

A rotation of Infinite Jest, The Decameron, and Don Quixote
>Do I like it
Infinite Jest is a lot of fun to read. It has a pretty obfusticating narrative style that can make ones eyes glaze over. Despite this, I've had quite a bit of fun with it. It keeps me on my toes, because every bit of minutiae is explored in such straining detail.

Don Quixote is great. Its a pretty sobering yet amusing account about delusions of grandeur.

The Decameron i've only just now opened. I'm sure it will be great.

2nd reading of Songs of a Dead Dreamer by Thomas Ligotti - Vermillion Sands by J.G. Ballard - & sitting on The Coming Race by Edward Bulwer-Lytton.
Songs is fine but not as fun to reread as later florilegium of hith. Vermillion Sands is not what I expected; wanted to read something about fancy geriatrics drying out in the sun in some kind of marble and chrome-plated resort, but it only lives up to that about halfway. Lytton is boring, I tried it because I've felt good about adventure books and wanted some underground trippy shit, but thinking of just dropping it and finding something else.
