Colleges don't receive your IB exam scores until after you get accepted/rejected, so you don't have to worry about the exams as much as an AP student does. The grading system is also even more inflated than AP and I would say the classes are easier, at least if you're more of a humanities as opposed to a STEM person like I was. Plus the supplementary stuff (Theory of Knowledge, the research paper, the service component) all help distinguish you when you apply to colleges.
